Ndzana’s psychotherapeutic approach builds heavily on the relationship and comprehensive case formulation. Being trained in a highly humanistic counseling program in Virginia, his work focuses mainly on the power of truth and achieving insight. His theoretical orientation is psycho-dynamic, and he was highly inspired by the ideas of Freud. Later in his training in Virginia he was introduced to IRT (Interpersonal Reconstructive Therapy), which focuses on personality reconstruction from an attachment lens. This approach is suitable for clients with personality disorders who generally are non-responsive to traditional therapies. He also brings a set of skills from Crisis Intervention, emergency/psychological first-aid interventions. Ndzana understands that humans are capable of incredible resilience, and he has experience helping clients through grief, promoting resilience, and transforming crisis into opportunities for growth and thriving.
Ndzana brings a wealth of experience in the healthcare field nationally and internationally. His passion for access to healthcare for underserved populations has led him to serve as a project consultant, leading a health information exchange (HIE) reform initiative between Electronic Health Network USA, its partners (Cisco Systems, Inc), and the Cameroonian Government’s Ministry of Public Health.
