Grace Merryfield

Administrative Support

Grace Merryfield is an undergraduate student on the pre-medicine track at Indiana University–Indianapolis, majoring in psychology with a minor in medical sociology. A lifelong learner, Ms. Merryfield is passionate about psychology, and her work at Hope Haven enriches her journey in the field. After graduating, Grace aspires to complete her MD and PhD to become a clinical or pediatric psychiatrist. Ms. Merryfield is emboldened to pursue her education in part by the amazing clinical and clerical staff who surround her and she is incredibly grateful for all the opportunities that Hope Haven has provided. The mentorship and guidance that she has experienced at Hope Haven make the office feel like a family. 

Starting as an intern at Hope Haven, Grace transitioned into her current role as an administrative assistant and receptionist, where she supports Hope Haven’s administrative office. She brings experience in clerical operations, utilizing technology to manage tasks in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office. For Ms. Merryfield, the highlight of working at Hope Haven is knowing her efforts may contribute to making someone’s day a little brighter. 

In her time away from the office, Grace coaches high school cheerleading, where she mentors young women to excel in both athletics and academic achievement. Her dedication to helping others extends to her volunteer work with Indiana University Health in the emergency department, furthering her commitment to making a positive impact on her community. She is also a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., where she furthers her charity and philanthropic endeavors. Grace is a member of the Indiana University Indianapolis RISE Scholars program, in which she serves as the research liaison. Through her scholarship, she actively participates in research, inquiry, service, and engagement.
