Dr. Johnson is a Licensed Health Service Provider in Psychology in the State of Indiana. She holds a Doctorate of Philosophy in Counseling Psychology that she received from Indiana University Bloomington. Dr. Johnson received her Masters of Education in Community Counseling from the University of Georgia and completed her clinical residency at Howard University Counseling Center in Washington, DC.
Dr. Johnson has facilitated the therapeutic process in numerous community, hospital, school, private practice, and correctional facilities. She has a sincere interest and passion in the emotional wellness and spiritual health of human beings.
Dr. Johnson’s therapeutic approach includes an integration of humanistic, insight-oriented, and dynamic thought modalities. She appreciates the courage and resilience within the human spirit and would welcome the opportunity to speak with you further about the therapeutic process.
In addition to maintaining her private practice, Dr. Johnson previously served as a Staff Psychologist for the Julian Center Counseling Center conducting individual and group therapy for women and youth who have experienced child abuse and neglect, domestic violence and traumatic life events. Dr. Johnson has constructed various workshops and presentations addressing domestic violence and healthy relationships.
